New car feature charges your cell phone wirelessly

New cars are increasingly offering cutting-edge technology, but most of it is stuff you can easily live without. Chrysler, however, has announced it will be first to market with an oh-yeah-I-want-that-bad in-car tech feature: the ability to wirelessly charge your cell phone, merely by placing it in an integrated power bin.
The charging grid can be activated only when the car is running, and a special case for the phone is required . So, soon, there will be no excuse not to chat with friends instead of focusing safely on the road while you’re driving.
